# Helpful Hints:

01 -
  • They taste elegant and impressive but genuinely take just 20 minutes from start to finish.
  • The contrast between crispy bread, silky prosciutto, and juicy figs creates a flavor moment that feels far more complex than it is.
02 -
  • Toast your bread before assembling—it's the only way to keep it crisp under the toppings; add cheese or figs to cold bread and you'll end up with soggy crostini by the time anyone eats them.
  • Slice your figs just before serving, otherwise their juices will weep and make everything damp.
03 -
  • Always slice your bread on a slight angle instead of straight down—it gives you a larger surface area for toppings and looks more intentional on the plate.
  • If your prosciutto tears while layering, don't fret; torn edges actually look more rustic and are easier to eat anyway.
