11 - 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
12 - 2 tablespoons milk
13 - ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
14 - Pinch of salt

# Steps:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and ground cardamom. Set aside.
02 - In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk and allow to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
03 - Add eggs and melted butter to the yeast mixture and whisk until fully combined.
04 - Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
05 - Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
06 - Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
07 - Punch down dough and roll out to ½-inch thickness. Cut donuts using a 3-inch donut cutter or two round cutters for the centers.
08 - Place donuts on parchment-lined baking sheets, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes until slightly puffy.
09 - Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F.
10 - Fry donuts in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on wire rack.
11 - Whisk together honey, powdered sugar, milk, cardamom, and salt until smooth.
12 - Dip warm donuts into honey glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Place on rack to set.

02 -
  • Freshness First: These donuts are best when enjoyed fresh, though they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Temperature Control: Ensure the milk is lukewarm to properly activate the yeast without damaging it.
  • Perfect Glazing: Dip the donuts while they are still slightly warm so the glaze spreads evenly and sets with a smooth finish.
